Death Care 101

Architarium»Death Care 101

Most Americans know little about death care. Interestingly, as recently as 150 years ago, families handled their own death care with occasional help from friends or someone in the community with death care experience. During the Civil War, undertakers and embalming became prevalent as families needed to retrieve loved ones killed in battle. The trend of using death care providers continued beyond the Civil War into our present time.

Whether you use a death care provider, do a home funeral or even something in between, it is always useful to be informed. You will know what to expect and be able to make appropriate decisions. If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact us and we will either answer it or refer you to a source of help.
