Wall Addition Columbarium

Here is a different columbarium design, somewhere in between a wall insert columbarium and a free standing columbarium, made by Architarium. A wall addition columbarium has an exterior granite cabinet. This columbarium is installed on a wall surface. This style is also sometimes referred to as a semi or partial freestanding columbarium.

This columbarium style is convenient in situations where minimal space available. An established memorial garden may need to be retrofit to add spaces: Memorial Gardens Making Space. Or perhaps there is not sufficient depth to insert a columbarium into an available wall. Even where wall depth is available, a wall addition contributes its own architectural interest and dimension to the surrounding environment. It is also a useful solution when a single-sided columbarium with a granite exterior is desired. This style is not a common configuration for a freestanding columbarium due to its minimal depth.

This versatile style can be used in both exterior and interior venues, attached to a wall constructed of masonry or dry-wall. The exterior of the columbarium is built from first-quality granite slab that is even thicker than countertop application). The interior uses Architarium's columbarium niche design.

The wall addition is a very affordable turnkey columbarium design. Usually, an existing wall is used in an area designated for a memorial garden. The back side is optional which allows cost savings. The columbarium installs very quickly. As an example, the columbarium shown in the image to the left was installed in 6 hours!
